Great Car Detailing Products You Didn’t Think About

There are many products out there that promise to clean your car, maintain its brand-new condition, and help it shine. You’ve probably wondered how many of these numerous products are worth your money and how many actually do what they say. There’s no way to know what works and what doesn’t without testing it out first. That’s why, in order to save you the time and money, we’ve create a short list of amazing products that we’ve tried out ourselves and loved. These simple car detailing products might be things you haven’t given much thought to or even known about. Though, they might just be the greatest items you ever use from this day forward.

WD-40

Car experts are very familiar with this wonderful product. WD-40 is a type of penetrating oil used to remedy many areas around cars. For instance, WD-40 works wonders to remove dead love bugs and sticky decals. Spraying this magical product on the tough dirt areas works effectively. Instead of wasting hours trying to remove the acidic, decomposed body of a love bug, you can spray WD-40 and let it set for a few minutes. After that, you’ll notice that you can easily wipe the mess away with a microfiber cloth. So if you’re not aware of the phenomenon that is WD-40, go and purchase one for your car. You’ll be glad you finally found the solution to many of your car’s problems.

Rain-X Rain Repellant

Did you ever drive in such a strong rain that you couldn’t see where you were going even though your windshield wipers were set at maximum speed? Well, you’re not alone. Driving in heavy rain can be tough, and oftentimes the wipers just seem pointless. So what do you do? You get Rain-X! This is one of the greatest car detailing products out there. It’s remarkable because it helps you fend off rain without even needing the windshield wipers to be at maximum speed. It is literally a rain repellant, and you’ll end up watching raindrops fly right off as if the rules of gravity don’t apply to them. Thus, this product will protect you on the road and ensure that you don’t have a hard time driving. Plus, when you don’t use your windshield wipers as much, there’s less chance of scratching the glass during a major storm.

Vinegar and Baking Soda

Vinegar and baking soda, what?!?! Yup, these two common products in your home can be used to clean your car. Think about those irritating headlights and backlights that are yellowing and getting hazy in color. Not only are they making it harder for you to see the road at night due to covering the majority of the light, but they are just tough to clean. You could scrub them with a regular car cleaner for hours without anything coming off. But then you have vinegar and baking soda. Look for them in your kitchen, because you’ll most likely find them there. These two products can remove the pesky headlight and backlight stains in mere minutes. What you need to do is put a tablespoon of baking soda in a plastic foam cup and then add a little bit of vinegar to it. The two will react together, creating a super-product. Then, you can dab a microfiber cloth in this concoction and use that cloth to wipe away the headlight and backlight dirt.

Dryer Sheets

Are you having a hard time with car odor? Did those air sprays you used only mask the smell for a few hours? Then what you need is dryer sheets. As one of the most incredible car detailing products on the market (although they’re designed for your dryer, not your car), dryer sheets really renew your car’s smell. Place one somewhere underneath a car seat, and your car should smell like heaven for months.
